Team Oliver Sweeney competed in the Stoke Park Classic Golf Day this week. Stoke Park has featured in several films including Bridget Jones’s Diary, Layer Cake and James Bond so it was the perfect setting for a luxury golf day.

There were 32 teams competing in the event hosted by Jaguar, Alfred Dunhill, Adidas and TaylorMade. Kitted out in the Oliver Sweeney Royale Golf Shoe we were slightly concerned our team would have all the gear but no idea! How wrong we were! Our e-Commerce Manager Tom had a fantastic round; he might not have finished under par but he did finish ahead of Ian Botham, Mark Foster and Tim Lovejoy!

After playing 27 holes, mostly in the rain, the Oliver Sweeney Team were treated to a delicious dinner where Sir Matthew Pinsent MBE and Jamie Baulch gave the after dinner speeches, sharing Olympic memories and stories with their celebrity audience.

We spotted several pairs of Sweeneys throughout the day. It was a great opportunity to catch up with our sporting friends of the brand and now they’ve seen our Royale Golf Shoe in action we hope they’ll be adding it to their collection soon!
