Sweeney's International Escapades

At any given moment, the team at Sweeney have all sorts of weird and wonderful projects on the go. They see us meeting interesting people from all walks of life, attending all sorts of unusual events, and generally having a lot of fun as we go about our business. But when it comes to travelling to great places, Simon, our Director of Creative & Wholesale beats the rest of us hands down.

Simon is currently charged with the task of creating the same success overseas for Sweeney as we enjoy here in the UK. And judging by his reports from his most recent trip, it might not take him too long. A whirlwind tour of Chicago, Seattle, and Toronto saw him meet up with some of the most notable retailers in the area, and arrive home with a well deserved look of smugness on his face as he tapped up their orders. Below are some photos of his trip.

The famous Pike Place market on the banks of the Puget Sound. The iconic ferries are a great way to commute.

Opened in 1975, the world famous Starbucks in Pike Place market. Coffee shops are in abundance in Seattle, reputed to be the key to surviving Seattle winters.

Don’t be put off by the gloomy exterior, this guy brought many a smile to childrens faces.

Nordstrom, Seattle – Big thank you to these guys, launching in September.

The water runway, if you look closely, you can see a plane taking off...
