It is with a great deal of sadness that we have taken the decision to close our five stores in London, Leeds and Manchester permanently. We will continue to sell direct to customers online at oliversweeney.com and through select retail partners. This has been an extremely tough decision.

It is no secret that the economics of retail stores have changed for the worse in recent years. The additional uncertainty of Covid19 has only compounded the problem and made our stores untenable.

The most regrettable part is having to say goodbye to our wonderful retail team, many of whom have been with us for over ten years and have dedicated so much of their time and passion into providing you the best possible service. They’re a huge part of our Sweeney family and we will all miss them greatly. I cannot thank them enough for their loyalty and diligence, especially recently, when we have all pooled every ounce of effort to keep our stores alive.

Our online business remains fully operational and robust. Your existing orders, repairs and returns, whether purchased in store or online, will continue to operate as normal. Recent system upgrades, following a few teething problems, are now fully integrated and providing a streamlined operation, albeit it with some inevitable delays whilst we transfer store stock to our warehouse.

Our new season collection is currently in development and we continue to source from the same great factories, with the same ethos to create products of exceptional quality, with integrity, that are built to last.

It leaves me to say thank you for your support over the years and especially through the recent extraordinary times. I appreciate how difficult this decision is for you and I hope you can appreciate how difficult it has been for us. I personally hope for the day that we can establish our High Street presence again.
