Our premium Sweeney Vintage leather wrapped cupsole trainer from our artisan factory in Le Marche, Italy. Prio is a whole-cut made from the prime cut of calf leather with a full calf leather lining and cushioned leather insock. A bagged tongue and top line with a lightly padded collar keep the upper soft and comfortable. The cupsole is wrapped in one long strip of upper leather with laser etched detail and has a half stitched rubber outsole. The shoes are made and then washed in specialist machines, before being rigorously polished and antique finished by hand, to produce a vintage worn and lovingly restored look.

The Cupsole Construction
Unlike a vulcanised construction where the sole is baked onto the upper, our cupsoles are made in the traditional way. The upper is lasted to a soft insole, the cupsole is then secured by stitching around the top of the rim to the upper. This produces a comfortable, practical shoe with a more refined look.
