Our new Belmonte is a formal brogue with a deceptively high level of comfort. It is made in our artisan Italian factory on a Bologna construction, which uses a soft leather 'sock', instead of the normal stiff insole board, and a deerskin upper - renowned for its supple comfort.

Our new Belmonte is a formal brogue with a deceptively high level of comfort. It is made in our artisan Italian factory on a Bologna construction, which uses a soft leather 'sock', instead of the normal stiff insole board, and a deerskin upper - renowned for its supple comfort. Layers of colour are then applied by hand and meticulously polished, creating a depth of colour and individual patina. We have used a slightly squared toe giving a retro 1950s look on an?OS thumbprint sole, with a full calf leather lining and insock.

The Bologna Construction
This Italian speciality dates from the early 1900s. The upper is stitched to a soft leather sock rather than a traditional insole board, to form a 'glove'. This is then Blake Stitched from the inside of the shoe to the sole. The resultant sleek profile produces an exceptionally comfortable formal shoe.
