Tim Cooper, our CEO, appreciates the effect of age on beautiful products, from his 1969 Fiat 500, to his Georgian leather armchair and rapidly diminishing collection of 1960’s Bordeaux wines.
Equally treasured are his grandfather’s shoes from the 1950s, lovingly preserved and cared for. With this as our inspiration, we have combined the best leathers, modern techniques and good old fashioned craftsmanship to recreate these works of art. Produced in our Italian factory, the finished shoes are then washed and tumbled in machines before hand polishing. This creates a beautifully aged, vintage look with an individual patina unique to each pair.
Vintage Soles
The Sweeney™ Vintage range is developed to produce an antique, worn and restored look. The process involves washing the finished shoes in a machine and as such, both the upper leather and the sole are designed to look beautifully aged and restored, with individual character.
