This traditional English construction has been around for over 150 years. The upper is stitched (Goodyear welted) to a ridge on the insole and a strip of leather - the welt.

Quality boots from Oliver Sweeney

I took a look through Google to see if Oliver Sweeney footwear was any good. I came across a revue which was very complimentary of them. I usually buy Loakes or Barker shoes and boots, however they mostly now have rubber soles on their boots. I prefer leather soles so I took a look around and happened upon Oliver Sweeney footwear. I purchased some of these boots. I must say the customer service is very good . Tbe delivery was prompt and the boots are outstanding.
