Description

Our toe cap Derby boot is made in Portugal with a calf leather upper and full pigskin leather lining with a cushioned calf leather insock. The upper is dip dyed which creates a beautifully casual aesthetic with tonal variation. We’ve included a handy back pull tab in a serviceable grosgrain fabric. The upper is cemented to a lightweight sole with a chunky cleated tread.

Some OS boots appear to be Goodyear welted, very high quality leather. The leather on these is fine, scruffs easy but polished up well, the pigskin interior isn’t as supple as other OS boots but good enough and better than most other (high steer) brands. The let down is the poorly glued on sole, coming apart on both shoes in various locations after less than one year of ownership. If you can’t get the basics right, it’s a poor boot in my opinion. Makes me think twice about OS boot purchases in future. I would have been happy with these regardless of other premature wear and tear if it wasn’t for the total failure of the glue on soles.
