Our new black deerskin Derby is made in our Italian factory in Le Marche. Deerskin is a soft but strong leather with a grained appearance. Renowned for comfort, the supple leather gently hugs the foot requiring very little wearing in; a smart shoe with a slipper like feel.

Our new black deerskin Derby is made in our Italian factory in Le Marche. Deerskin is a soft but strong leather with a grained appearance. Renowned for comfort, the supple leather gently hugs the foot requiring very little wearing in; a smart shoe with a slipper like feel. We’ve kept the topline and tongue soft and flexible too with a bagged seam, lined with calf leather and a full leather insock with cushioned heel. The slightly wider squarer toed last creates a vintage profile along with our blake stitched Sweeney vintage sole - a slightly distressed sturdy leather sole with a ‘repaired look’ rubber top piece.

This is a speciality of our Italian factory in Le Marche. The upper is stitched to the outsole from the inside of the shoe. As no welt is required the result is a sleeker, more elegant profile, making it an ideal construction for formal shoes.
