Description

Our new Goodyear welted Derby toe cap boot is made from calf leather, antique finished by hand. The upper has simple, clean lines with a piped topline, a leather back pull tab and three antiqued brass ski hooks for a flexible fit, with a full leather lining and additional cushioned leather heel pad The Goodyear construction stitches the upper to the sole through a leather welt running around the outside of the upper, rather than through the inside of the shoe. This is a practical construction keeping water away from the upper. We have also chosen a rubber outsole with crepe effect tread and cleated rubber top piece for additional grip.

These boots are gorgeous, they have the usual OS high quality fit and manufacturing. Really well constructed and comfortable. They’re a nice shape too. I think you need to wear them around the house for a few hours when you first get them just to bed them in. They’re not uncomfortable, but they’re high quality leather and so that takes a bit of moving around just to get them less stiff. They’re really nice looking, with a colour that will get compliments and all in all a worthy purchase. I got a size 10 and I’d say they’re a good fit, they are a shade narrower towards the toe than other OS boots I have - which is the style of these rather than the fit, so if you’re not a fan of the toe box area getting a little narrow by style I’d suggest alternative ones or try some on first. I’ve had mine a while now and they’re nice and comfortable, with the leather giving just right as I’ve worn them in. It doesn’t take long to do that, but it’s worth it. Recommended for those that like some style on their feet and the colour is amazing.
