Description

Our long-awaited Goodyear welted loafer is made from black hi-shine calf leather antique finished by hand. The classic penny loafer style has an overlaid apron seam and the traditional saddle with penny cut out. Inside we’ve included a full calf leather lining with a half leather insock cushioned at the heel. The upper is set on a fairly wide toed last and Goodyear welted to a leather sole. Finally it is cemented to a deceptively light, chunky outer sole with inset cleats at the forepart, made from a super lightweight but durable compound.

This traditional English construction has been around for over 150 years. The upper is stitched (Goodyear welted) to a ridge on the insole and a strip of leather - the welt.

This is my 5th pair of OS shoes. I love the style of the slip on shoes. . These shoes come up slightly large as I am normally a size 11. 1st couple of wears I have had some great compliments and these are really comfortable, so far. I really like the elastics band across the top which ensures they do not slip off. Very functional.

Frustratingly nice loafers which proved impossible to get feet into. Not style on this occasion for those with high in-step.
