Yarford has been our best-selling Goodyear welted wholecut for a number of years. A wholecut is the king of formal shoes. With one piece of smooth calf leather cut from the prime part of the calf hide, the upper is free from restrictive seams allowing it to mould more readily to your foot. The minimalist pattern is on a slightly chiseled toe featuring the OS toe medallion and is fully lined in calf leather. We’ve Goodyear welted the upper to a sturdy leather sole finished in our signature green.

Great value and style
Excellent quality and customer service, been with the company 15 years plus and have never purchased from anywhere else.
This is a good shoe made of quality leather, all round. Considering these are medium weight, formal shoes, they are comfortable after just a few minutes of wearing.
The oddity is with the brogue - there are so many small holes that the Sweeney signature pattern is lost in a mess of dots; unlike other well known shoe brand signatures, eg from Northampton. If you arent put off by that, these are good shoes.
I just love my new shoes that I just received from Oliver Sweeney. The finish is beautiful and I really like the detail on the toe.
The construction is flawless with a quality leather. The fit and comfort are also great. I would suggest sizing down a half size. I am normally a US 11, I ended up ordering a US 10.5.
I did need to exchange my shoes for a half size smaller, however, the return process was easy, fast and efficient. That’s definitely a strong point at Oliver Sweeney.
I’m very happy with my shoes. I have already started receiving compliments on the first day of wearing them. However, if there is one thing that I am not crazy about, it’s the OS on the back of the shoe. I didn’t see this in the photos of the shoe however, I knew it was there based on some online videos that I saw. That’s just my personal taste.
Overall, great shoe, great price, fantastic service.
