Description

Yarford has been our best-selling Goodyear welted wholecut for a number of years. A wholecut is the king of formal shoes. With one piece of pristine calf suede cut from the prime part of the calf leather hide, the upper is free from restrictive seams allowing it to mould more readily to your foot. The minimalist pattern is on a slightly chiseled toe featuring the OS toe medallion and is fully lined in calf leather. We’ve Goodyear welted the upper to a sturdy leather sole finished in our signature green.

Goodyear Welted Construction

This traditional English construction has been around for over 150 years. The upper is stitched (Goodyear welted) to a ridge on the insole and a strip of leather - the welt.

I bought a pair of these shoes in brown and the comfort in that pair is so much better. These black shoes do not seem to 'walk' right. Leather is much stiffer and nowhere near as comfortable. Maybe a one off, look really smart though.
